What inspired me the most to start this business was all those terrifying post on social media with trash everywhere. It made me cringe every-time I saw a related post & I felt heart broken. The video with the sea turtle & the straw especially, impacted me greatly. How could such a small thing we use for a couple of minutes risk both a life & the environment? What was even worse, people would just repost without having any alternatives to plastic straws. Living in Trinidad & Tobago; a small island, we can more than control our trash. Even better! Prevent pollution by implementing environmentally friendly substitutes for plastic. Hence, recreating the bamboo straw using bamboo grown right here in T&T was my mission.
